Dinner at Sharky's

The pier at Sharky's restaurant on Venice Beach.  We checked out the fishermen's buckets to see what kind of fish they were catching:  Spanish Mackerel and Sheepshead mostly - while we waited for a table at the restaurant.

Suddenly, we heard a huge splash

The rumor was the guy jumped in to retrieve a $50 bill...WHAT?

This might not have been so weird, but it was pretty COLD, the wind was blowing and the waves were really fierce.

The snowy egret was so tame he let me get close enough for a great picture.

The meal was definitely worth waiting for!

We finished our meal in time to watch the sun go down on the Gulf of Mexico.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening with our friends, Jesse and Peggy, from Alabama.
