Oh my goodness, could it have been April when I posted last? I guess that describes what season is busy for me with gardens, family, swimming, etc. We did a major remodel of our guest house in April, began gardening in May, and spent most of the summer busy with gardens, maintenance and flowers.
Our feral cats have become part of our daily routine, but still resist direct contact with us. They stalk us, while we feed and house them. As the weather cooled, we bought them a heating pad for their sleeping area, and they reward us by keeping the mole and mouse population under control.
We call them the twins, but the male is Tux and female is Diamond. My newest craft/hobby, is collecting and painting rocks. It's a fun hobby to share with kids and grandkids, and since most of this 10 acres is covered in rocks, the raw materials are free.
Here they are on a rock...you can tell Tux is on the left by the clipped left ear. Diamond on the right. I made this rock for my friend, Nancy, who helped us trap and neuter the cat family we found in the garage. At our annual family gathering on October 17, some of the kids and grandkids painted a rock for my rosyrocks garden. I set up a Facebook page for pictures of rocks. We're hoping people will post pictures there when they find rocks we leave here and there as we get out. Please follow the page: Rosyrocks on Facebook if you're interested.

Another new hobby: My neighbor, Gene, and I have our game cams on the property. We move them from time to time, just to see what kind of critters are wandering around out there. Here are a couple we've seen:
Oh, dear, is that Tux? All these critters seem to be co-existing, and our feral cats are pretty cautious, so we hope for the best knowing what's out there at night!
